We welcome growers, producers and food entrepreneurs from the Northern Valleys region to sell ethical and sustainable produce via our unique platform.
If your produce is grown or made within 100-200 kms of our store in Bindoon, and you are committed to sustainable production, we’d love to have you onboard!
The good news is – it’s pretty easy to get started. , and once it’s all set up our system will keep track of your inventory and sales. If you want help at any point – please ask!
First of all, the Locavore Store is no ordinary shop. It’s an online marketplace, more like Gumtree or eBay where you, as the producer offer your own product for sale. You decide what you want to sell and for how much. You record how much stock you have and when it will be available. You’ll essentially have your own mini-store within our website which you can manage yourself.
Unlike Gumtree, however, you don’t have to organise the cash transaction or the pickup. Customers will pay online with a credit card. Unlike eBay the product is not shipped to them – they collect it from our ‘store’. For this convenience, we charge a 30% commission fee. This will be taken out at every sale – please price accordingly so you still get the price you want for your product.
To keep stock running smoothly you can house your products at the Locavore Store, at 29 Binda Place, Bindoon. It’s the old bakery building – right next door to the ‘new’ Bindoon Bakehaus. Drop off on a daily, weekly or monthly basis – whatever is most appropriate for your product. We have coolrooms, freezers and storage space.
As soon as a purchase is made, you’ll get an email – and so will we. If your product is ready to go at the Locavore Store you won’t need to do anything. If not, it will be up to you to deliver it there and let the customer know when it’s ready.

Once you’ve logged on:
You’ll see a dashboard where you can add any extra information.
You can also upload your product pictures and set the prices
Once we’ve approved them – they’ll be live and ready for sale!

How do you get paid?
When you have accrued an amount you would like to withdraw, go to the payment section and select withdraw. We will will receive your request, match with our sales records and tick approve. The money will be directly transferred into your nominated account. Read our Withdraw information here.
